So after hitting pay button for my $550 cell phone… I starting thinking about how over the top, frivoulous and arrogant I am with stuff like this. Alot of things in my life are probably way too big, fast, expensive then they should be. Other then the cell phone, you can point to my house. Do Linh and I really need a 2100 sq ft house, with 3 rooms and bathrooms? [I can only poop so much] Of course not.

But this isnt a spending problem, its not like I’m out of control or anything. And of course its not like we are poor or anything. So what is it? To me I think its a way of thinking, an attitude, or maybe a type of confidence. I have always tried to be the best, do the best, and to be around the best. Career wise I know that Linh and I strive to move up and be respected. That’s why we work our jobs with diligence, go the extra mile. That is also why we go to school, even when the schooling we have is plenty for most people.

Alot of people call me arrogant, I routinely (jokingly) talk about how I’ll be my coworkers boss one day. Of course I consider them friends, before coworkers. Its not arrogance, its confidence. For those who dont understand that, arent being the best ever. Thats ok for some people. So I’ll just call it Go Big or Go Home.

The New Toy

While bored at work I was browsing my favorite deal websites (Fatwallet.com, SlickDeals.Net) to look at all the great deals on the great stuff I cant afford. However I came upon this sucker! That’s right I bought a Nokia N95 8gb. This phone has all the features you could want, and sorry hon, its NOT an iPhone. Check out this feature list:

8gb Memory
5 Megapixel Camera (second camera for video calls)
Onboard GPS
WiFi
MP3/Video Player and FM Radio Player
30 FPS Video Recorder
Internet, Bluetooth, Dual Slider, Ngage Gaming and other jazz…

So you can see that it has more features then most people will ever use. But I can see myself using all of them! I travel alot so the GPS definitely has its benefits. I spend a lot of time on the crapper so Ngage has its benefits. We also end up taking LOTS of pictures when we go out, plus its always good to have evidence. Now with the 8gb of memory I’ll never worry about not having enough room. Lastly I got it because it was on SALE. A phone that normally sells for $650… I got it for $515. With taxes and shipping it came to a total of $560. The hope of course is that I will be able to sell my beat up MDA, I’ll post pictures of how ghetto it has gotten. Also since my upgrade through T-Mobile is coming up in June, I’ll be able to upgrade and ebay that sucker. Unfortunately my beloved N95 will ship 4/1. That’s a whole month waiting and its going to suck. Oh well.

What should I blog about?

Starting a blog is no easy task. The easy stuff is buying a domain, finding hosting and setting up blog software. The hard part is to figure out what to write about. On the internet you will see two main types of blogs, one is a personal blog and the other is about a subject. I dont read personal blogs, because for the most part personal blogs are just ramblings of a nobody, unless of course your a somebody… So the obvious choice is write about a subject. Now how do I figure out what to write about? Something that people care about, something I enjoy, something useful, something, anything… See how hard it is? I’ll figure something out. I have all the time in the world.
